We have set our mission to keep pace with the changing needs of the
society and in this direction our aims are:

to develop skills of unskilled, semi-skilled persons, dropouts from schools
and colleges, and also the weaker section of the society through
industrial training and framework of necessary standard curriculum with
quality assurance so that they may come up with high performance.

to focus on underprivileged specially weaker sections of society along
with persons of all ages residing in the backward regions of the eastern
India so that they may be provided with affordable vocational education
through sound business and management practices. In this way they
may be able to earn their livelihood and move towards poverty
alleviation.

to develop potential of the people of the eastern India as well as sharpen
the skills of rural/semi-rural and backward communities so that they may
be able to earn their livelihood. Optimization of human potential by
providing superior solutions to them will maximize their engagement in
various vocations which will make them happy and prosperous.

The Vijayam Educational Trust is a non profitable and
registered charitable Educational trust, which was
set up to empower the youth with job oriented skill
sets and at same time help the nascent industry
overcome challenges of its human resource. Today,
over the years, it has grown to be a leading talent
development organization of Bihar, to offer a host of
learning solutions to individuals, enterprises and
institutions all over the state through its various
initiatives focused covering a large mass.
The training solutions imparted by the Trust in
Executive Management Education, IT, Business Process Outsourcing, Banking, Finance
and Insurance, Communication and Professional Life Skills, have changed the lives of
more than 30,000 people in the last decade.
The aim of the Trust is to lay stress upon underprivileged sections of society and
backward regions of the country for the sake of poverty alleviation, and similarly to
facilitate skill development of the unorganized or informal sector workforce. Major part
of its efforts is directed towards skill development programmes in the unorganized
sectors. Over and above, it also aims to play key role, particularly in sectors, where the
growth / progress is ineffective or is missing.
After thorough research, surveys and understanding of the skill gaps that exist in the
rural & urban workforce, the Trust has devised some unique models to provide
education and training to the rural & urban youths so as to make them worthy of
employment and to enable them to have job opportunities in various industries, in and
around the state. The thrust is also on underserved, school-going children and illiterate
adults. It has taken a lot of social and educational initiatives which have been very
fruitful.
The 'Vijayam Educational Trust' has expertise in strategic consulting, learning design,
customized content, training delivery, hi-end technology training, testing &
assessment. It enables people to get trained effectively and efficiently. It facilitates to
make learning environment that meets the requirements of existing and emerging skills
and trends in the industry.
The key driving force at 'Vijayam Educational Trust', is research-based innovation which
has enabled the organization to develop programs and curriculum that use cutting-edge
instructional design methodologies and training delivery. It has provided computer-
based education to over 30,000 people including drop outs of schools and colleges,
non–skilled, semi-skilled, fresher and uneducated young adults.
In addition to above, it caters to the increasing demand of the skilled
workers in the business and technology service industries by providing
training programs in relevant areas through its different wings. It equips
the students with the knowledge and skills, required to start their career.
It offers vocational skills training programs to enhance employability of
youth across India. It addresses the challenges of imparting skills
required by growing economy.

The Vijayam Educational Trust's training solutions in Executive Management
Education, IT, Business Process Outsourcing, Banking, Finance and Insurance and
Communication and Professional Life Skills, have changed the lives of more than

It was observed that there are various industries and segments which have their own
specific requirements. People are needed to be trained to suit their purpose in such a
manner that just after successful completion of the training, they could be absorbed in

At present all the division are working efficiently under the management of 'Vijayam
Educational Trust' and constantly moving ahead to accomplished the mission of the
trust.
Divisions
The journey of the prestigious institute was flagged off in the year 2001, with
the establishment of 'The Career Catalyst' with the objective to make the youth
employable.
The Career Catalyst started functioning on school finish concept. In this wake it
launched training programs as per the need of the industry.
First of all, it achieved the objective of understanding the need of the industry.
This was the time when Bihar was planning to take a giant leap towards
industrial development. Industries were keenly looking at this state as a place
full of opportunities. Telecom Industry was going through a revolutionary phase
in Bihar. Along with BSNL, Reliance, Tata and Bharti-Airtel were also planning for
their expansion. And with their entry in Bihar, definitely new opportunities were
perceptible on the horizon. So, the first step was to understand this opportunity
and be ready accordingly to forge ahead.

Need Analysis i.e. knowing the requirement of the industry:-
Our first step
was to gather information about the requirement of the industries. For this, a team
of experienced people was formed. In this team, there were people, who had
worked in the similar kinds of organizations in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore or in other
metro cities. They had the same or relevant experience of the industry and at the
same time better understanding too. The objective of the team was to know and
explore the requirement of different segments of the industry, their job profile and
also about the specific skill set required to get the job.
•
Mobilization of the Job Seekers:-
Once the job profile is known, next comes the
second step, that is ' mobilization of the Job seeker'. It is achieved by organizing
Career Awareness Seminars & Camps in different localities. We also make people
aware of the available opportunities through announcement in newspapers. As a
result of all these efforts, a large number of people get themselves registered for
further processing.

Screening of the people:
After successful completion of 'Mobilizing the job

Process followed from 'reaching the unreachable' to converting the
'Un-skilled into skilled-one' at The Career Catalyst.

If found satisfactory, the final interview of
the candidate is conducted with the
representatives of the company and,
thereafter, after successful completion
of the final round, the job is offered to
him.
However, if during the process of
screening, the candidate is found to be
lagging behind the criteria of selection,
their skills are needed to be developed
or further upgraded, they are apprised
of this and then some practical tailor-
made solutions are suggested.
1.Up–skilling the un-skilled & semi-skilled persons:
Different people have
different problems and hence different solutions are required.. Based on this fact,
our 'Skill Development Team' has developed the educational content to meet the
demand of the employer, keeping in view the background of the candidate.
Accordingly, it has developed many programs to enhance and develop the required
skill sets. Each program was meant to focus on some specific problem areas or skill
of the candidate in order to upgrade his skill and expertise to meet or beat the
parameter set by the employer. As per assessment of the experts, these skill
development training programmes were offered to the students.
•
Training & Assessment:
The training programme of minimum one month to six
months is offered to the candidates. The object of the training is to develop required
skills in them, hence a lot of emphasis is given on the practical aspect of the
training. In fact, students are trained by following 'Learning by Doing' concept.
During the training period, the progress of the candidates is assessed on regular
basis and, accordingly, they are apprised of the progress.
•
Internship Programmes:
To have the proper and practical knowledge of the
work, the participants are sent several times for internship. This helps them
understand the work and work culture. Also they are apprised to have better
understanding of –'What they are expected to do', how they are supposed to do'
and 'what are the skills required to do the work'. As a result, they become more
sincere and conversant of the training.
•
Personality Development Programmes
: To develop the personality of the
candidate, he needs to go through special
Personality Development Programmes,
which help in developing his personality
and make him a better candidate for the
job.
•
Interview Handling Practice:
To face
the interview skillfully, the students are
specially taught about the Interview
Handling Skills so that he may face the
interview boldly and skillfully and have fair
chance of selection for the job.
•
Certification:
After successful
completion of the training, certificates are
awarded to the students.
•
Placement:
After successful
completion of the training,
candidate's interview with the
employers is conducted, and then
job is offered to him. In case, the
candidate doesn't succeed in
getting the job offer, he is re-
trained keeping his performance
and weak points in view. He is given
chance once again to face the
interview.
This was the time, when the idea of a
'Finishing School' struck the mind. It
was felt that:

Lot of un-skilled, semi–skilled, un-
educated and even educated
people are unemployed.
•
Every year the number is
increasing rapidly with the new
pass out students and with the new grown ups emerging in the society and so the
competition gets tougher and tougher.
•
A study was conducted and it was observed that if not in Bihar, at least job
opportunities are available in metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and
Bangalore.
•
Lot of MNCs/ big & small corporate houses have large vacancy. But the people
looking for the job, are not skilled. They lacked the relevant knowledge and
smartness.
•
Very soon it was established that there is a big demand of “Employable Workforce”
but there was a big gap between demand and supply.
•
To meet this challenge and overcome the problem, the idea of establishing such an
institute came, which was to fill the gap between the demand and supply and aimed
at converting the unskilled one into skilled one. It was to work as a catalyst to fulfill
the need of job seeker and job provider – hence it was named as – 'The Career
Catalyst'.

Later on the success of The Career Catalyst opened many doors and ways to help
the different segments of society. As the time passed by, the new opportunities
were seen and tapped by taking initiatives and finding innovative solutions for
them.
The aims and the objectives of the Career Catalyst are as follows:

Career Catalyst, the flagship company of the Vijayam Educational Trust, was
formed. It trains the people for the industry / employer according to their need. So
far more than 30,000 people from Bihar and nearby states have been placed.

The Vijayam Techno Campus, which is a part of
the 'Vijayam Educational Trust has set a new
milestone in the segments of Customer Service
Training, Placement and Call Center industry in
Bihar. The Vijayam Techno Campus, has played
a key role in the field of Call Center and BPO
Industry in the state. It has been pioneer in
providing training and placement services also
for the Customer Care Service Division.

and developing

opportunities in the region, it has been on the top of
Training & Placement Division. Today, it has established
itself as one of the most preferred service providers for
outsourcing the requirements for the companies in
eastern India.
The revolutionary development in the field of
Telecommunication services has brought lot of job
opportunities. This was the time when big
telecommunication companies had started their
ventures in Bihar. The Vijayam Techno Campus, being a
part of the 'Vijayam Educational Trust' and the 'Catalyst
Group of Institutions' was ready to fulfill the growing
need of this industry in Bihar.
The need further emerged in the division of
customer service, back office job, data entry,
documents verification and others. All of these required trained and skilled manpower.
We, at Vijayam Techno Campus' had all expertise in developing skill, grooming the
people and placing them and so it was a natural
choice for us.
No wonder, when Bharti-Airtel launched its
services in Bihar, 'Vijayam Techno Campus' got the
opportunity to run its customer service divisions
and execute lot of its back-office jobs. Taking
initiative, we established the first outsourced call
centre unit of private sector in Patna for Bharti Tele
ventures. It was meant to serve the consumers of
Bihar / Jharkhand Circle. This Outbound Call
Centre for Bharti Tele-ventures (Airtel) in Patna
was started in January 2005 and is running
successfully since then.
